Walking with God is often misunderstood as an overnight transformation from pain to joy and from sin to holiness. However, it is a process, as the Bible teaches us in 2 Corinthians 3:18: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
In this generation where everything is instant, we dislike the journey. We want fast coffee, fast food, fast life, fast delivery, and instant gratification. But relationships don’t happen overnight. They deepen as we journey with the other person. Similarly, our relationship with God deepens as we walk with Him over time.
The apostle Paul encourages us to embrace the process of walking with God and to allow Him to redeem our souls (Romans 12:1-2). Just like relationships aren’t one-way streets, walking with God requires commitment and consistency to rely on Jesus with every breath and every step, every day until we meet Him in His glory
Just like relationships aren’t one-way streets, walking with God requires commitment and consistency to rely on Jesus with every breath and every step, every day until we meet Him in His glory. Embrace the process and allow God to redeem your soul.
Lyrics for “Save My Soul — Ancient of Days Worship”
Walking in the light with a pitch dark heart
I’m falling, I’m falling
Carrying a burden and I’m helpless now
I’m drowning, come save me.
The weight of my sin keeps pulling me down
My consciousness doesn’t wanna make a sound
Though I do so many things to justify
Pointless cause I’m throwing my punches at the sky
Please save my soul
Somebody tell me that I’m not alone
I’m looking for a Way out, a restart
Redeem me from my broken past
Somebody please save my soul
Save my soul
God please save my soul
Save my soul
